Our Services

Pediatric Dentistry of Chino Hills is a dental practice that provides the highest quality of pediatric dentistry utilizing advanced technologies. Because the first visit is very important, we take special care in how each child is introduced to our office and encourage ‘healthy dental visits’. Children who are first seen for a friendly examination and cleaning are able to enjoy the dental experience and build a bond of trust with us. A customized dental plan that includes prevention, growth development, and possible treatment is created to fit your child’s specific dental needs. Topics that include oral hygiene, sports dentistry and early orthodontics are discussed with each family.

Our office invites parents to be part of the dental experience. We explain our examination findings and demonstrate oral hygiene procedures to ensure you are able to help your child complete them comfortably at home. We also involve parents in the dental treatment to better understand how we care for each child.

Comprehensive Exams

Comprehensive exams includes a combination of procedures in order to make sure that all aspects of child’s oral health is addresses and an effective treatment strategy is formulated according to the results. Physical oral examination helps to figure out the actual state of the child’s mouth and oral structure. Visual checkup helps to determine to find out whether there are any cavities.

Protective Sealants

Dental sealants is a protective barrier placed on children’s teeth for the purpose of sealing out the food and bacterial that result in cavities. Seeking dental sealants along with a comprehensive dental care routine that includes proper brushing, flossing, fluoride treatment and a healthy diet will help maintain good oral health for the children.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride treatment helps prevent the tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth. Fluoride treatment makes teeth more resistant to decay, repairs tiny areas of decay before they become big cavities and makes germs in the mouth less able to cause decay.

Growth & Development Evaluations

Growth and development evaluation is essential to make sure your child’s teeth and jaw are developing correctly. This evaluation helps detect any issue such as misaligned teeth or jaw or even to identify problems associated with jaw growth at early stage. If the evaluation is considered at an early stage, it can help to prevent the problems from becoming worse.

Space Maintainers

Space maintainers help hold space for permanent teeth. If the baby tooth has lost prematurely, he or she needs space maintainers before the permanent teeth is ready to erupt. Losing the primary tooth too early can cause the eruption of adult tooth in the empty space instead of where it should be. If there are more teeth ready to come out, there will not be enough room for them. So, space maintainers are necessary to hold open the space left by the missing tooth.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Beautiful teeth can boost child’s self-confidence and many times accepted by their peers. Tooth-colored fillings can help to repair the chipped, stained or irregular teeth. They are most preferred by many parents as a means of small cavity restoration and irregular front teeth. Simply it is called as an inexpensive way to restore a small amount of tooth decay.

Various reasons can lead to extraction of tooth, such as tooth decay and removing tooth hindering orthodontic treatment. If there is any chance of crowding when baby teeth are replaced by permanent tooth, then extraction of teeth is necessary. Extraction can help to create enough room for permanent teeth to come out and align properly. Sometimes extractions may avoid the later need for complicated orthodontic treatment.

"Baby" root canals (Pulpotomy)

Baby root canal is the most commonly needed nerve treatment for a baby tooth. Pulpotomy is necessary when cavity in primary tooth is deep enough to have affected the part of the nerve. During the procedure of baby root canal, the affected part of the nerve is removed and a medicament is placed over the remaining surface.

Dentistry for special needs children

Specialists in Pediatric Dentistry of Chino Hills provide routine dental care for children with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, severe developmental delays, severe behavior disorders, brain injuries and other similar conditions.

Oral hygiene and dietary counseling

We help to implement the preventive oral hygiene and dietary habits that can keep children free from dental/oral issues. We primarily focus on prevention, early detection and treatment of dental issues and keep current on the latest advances and research in pediatric dentistry.

Nitrous Oxide

This is a type of sedation that works effective on children who have slight anxiety about their treatment but are willing to undergo the treatment. Children who need limited work to be done will usually receive this kind of sedation. Usually preferred on children who have good behavior, and have treatment that can be done in a half hour or less.

In-Office IV Sedation

IV Sedation makes your child rest comfortably while receiving the dental care that he or she needs. This kind of sedation is effective on children who have severe anxiety and phobias associated with dentists, needles and drills to make any dental procedure pleasant. Ask us if IV Sedation is right for your child.

Pediatric Dentistry of Chino Hills was able to schedule for my son even on a very short notice. Everyone in the dental clinic was so professional and communicated all aspects of care clearly. Hats off to Dr. Garibyan who understand the urgency of my son's situation. She and the staff here were showing very genuine care and concern of my son.

Dr. Garibyan and rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. My 2 year old daughter went in for her first dental appointment ever and everyone was so nice and attentive. By the time my daughter was left she was super comfortable and making himself right at home. We will look forward for our next visit.
